DESCRIPTION

Cufgyl-LS Syrup  A combination of Ambroxol Hydrochloride (30 mg), Levosalbutamol Sulphate (1 mg), and Guaifenesin (50 mg) is commonly used to treat cough associated with respiratory conditions. Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic agent that helps thin and loosen mucus in the airways. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles and makes breathing easier. Guaifenesin works as an expectorant, helping to clear mucus from the lungs and throat. Together, this combination helps relieve productive cough, chest congestion, and breathing difficulty.

INDICATION

Productive Cough: Cufgyl-LS Syrup (Ambroxol Hydrchloride 30 mg + Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg + Guaiphenesin 50 mg) This combination is commonly used to relieve cough accompanied by thick mucus. It helps loosen and remove phlegm from the respiratory tract, making coughing more effective and easing breathing.

Bronchitis: Cufgyl-LS Syrup (Ambroxol Hydrchloride 30 mg + Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg + Guaiphenesin 50 mg) It is indicated in acute and chronic bronchitis where inflammation of the bronchial tubes leads to excessive mucus production and breathing difficulty.

Asthma with Mucus Secretion: LS Syrup (Ambroxol Hydrchloride 30 mg + Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg + Guaiphenesin 50 mg) The medicine helps relax airway muscles and clears mucus, providing relief in patients with asthma who experience chest congestion and productive cough.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Cufgyl-LS Syrup (Ambroxol Hydrchloride 30 mg + Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg + Guaiphenesin 50 mg) It is used to manage symptoms such as airway obstruction, mucus buildup, and cough associated with COPD.

Respiratory Tract Infections: Cufgyl-LS Syrup (Ambroxol Hydrchloride 30 mg + Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg + Guaiphenesin 50 mg) The combination helps in conditions like lower respiratory tract infections where mucus accumulation and airway narrowing cause coughing and breathing discomfort.

MECHANISM OF ACTION
 

Cufgyl-LS Syrup the combination of Ambroxol Hydrochloride 30 mg, Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg, and Guaifenesin 50 mg works through complementary mechanisms to relieve productive cough and airway congestion. Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic by breaking down and thinning thick mucus in the respiratory tract, making it easier to expel. Levosalbutamol is a selective bronchodilator that stimulates β2-adrenergic receptors, causing relaxation of bronchial smooth muscles and widening of the airways. Guaifenesin functions as an expectorant by increasing the volume and reducing the viscosity of bronchial secretions. DRUG INTERACTIONS

Drug-Drug Interaction: Antimicrobials (erythromycin, doxycycline, cefuroxime, amoxicillin), water pills (furosemide), bronchodilators (albuterol, formoterol, vilanterol), anti-sickness medications (ondansetron), and steroids (prednisone, budesonide) may interact with Cufgyl-LS Syrup Ambroxol Hydrchloride (30 mg + Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg + Guaiphenesin 50 mg). 

Drug-Food Interaction:  Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg + Guaiphenesin 50 mg + Cufgyl-LS Syrup Ambroxol Hydrchloride 30 mg may interact with food. Avoid or limit the consumption of caffeinated foods, beverages, or dietary supplements that contain Cuftec-LS Syrup Ambroxol Hydrchloride 30 mg + Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg + Guaiphenesin 50 mg, as this may increase the risk of adverse effects. 

Drug-Disease Interaction: Consult your doctor if you have diabetes, fits, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, stomach ulcers, phenylketonuria (a birth defect that causes the body to aggregate amino acids, phenylalanine), kidney, liver, or heart problems, or if you have recently taken 30 mg of Cufgyl-LS Syrup Ambroxol Hydrchloride plus 1 mg of Levosalbutamol Sulphate and 50 mg of Guaiphenesin.

PRECAUTION

Precaution should be taken while using the combination of Ambroxol Hydrochloride 30 mg, Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg, and Guaifenesin 50 mg in patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or thyroid disorders, as the bronchodilator component may affect heart rate. It should be used carefully in patients with severe liver or kidney impairment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should take this medicine only under medical supervision. Patients should avoid exceeding the recommended dose and consult a doctor if cough persists for a long time or is accompanied by fever or rash. Adequate hydration is also advised to help the medicine work effectively in loosening mucus.
