MECHANISM OF ACTION

Drug Interactions

Drug–Drug Interaction: Itraconazole can interact with several medications and may alter their effects. Concomitant use with acid-reducing agents such as esomeprazole, omeprazole, and pantoprazole may decrease its absorption. It may also increase the levels of certain drugs, including corticosteroids (fluticasone, budesonide), opioid analgesics like hydrocodone, anticoagulants such as warfarin, cholesterol-lowering agents like simvastatin, antihistamines such as terfenadine, and anti-anxiety medications like alprazolam.
