DESCRIPTION

Febudac Tablet (Febuxostat 40 mg) is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor used for the treatment of gout and hyperuricemia (high uric acid levels in the blood). It works by reducing the production of uric acid in the body, helping prevent gout attacks and manage chronic gout.

INDICATION

Chronic Hyperuricemia in Gout : Febudac Tablet (Febuxostat 40 mg) is primarily indicated for the management of hyperuricemia in patients diagnosed with gout, a condition characterized by the deposition of uric acid crystals in joints causing inflammation and severe pain. By lowering uric acid levels, Febudac Tablet (Febuxostat 40 mg) helps reduce the risk of gout attacks.

Lowering Serum Uric Acid Levels : Febudac Tablet (Febuxostat 40 mg) works by inhibiting the enzyme xanthine oxidase, which is responsible for the production of uric acid from purines. By reducing uric acid production, Febudac Tablet (Febuxostat 40 mg) lowers serum uric acid levels and reduces the risk of crystal formation in joints and tissues.

Prevention of Gout Attacks and Joint Damage : Febudac Tablet (Febuxostat 40 mg) helps prevent recurrent gout attacks by maintaining uric acid levels within a safe range. Febudac Tablet (Febuxostat 40 mg) also helps reduce the risk of joint damage caused by long-term uric acid crystal deposition.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Febudac Tablet (Febuxostat 40 mg) works by inhibiting the enzyme xanthine oxidase, which converts purines into uric acid in the body. By blocking this enzyme, Febudac Tablet (Febuxostat 40 mg) reduces the production of uric acid and lowers its concentration in the blood. This helps prevent the formation of uric acid crystals in joints and tissues, thereby reducing gout attacks and related complications.
