DESCRIPTION
Arolip-D Tablet (pantoprazole 40 mg + domperidone 10 mg) is a combination medicine used in conditions related to excess stomach acid and digestive discomfort. It is commonly associated with problems such as acid reflux and stomach ulcers. These conditions may cause symptoms like heartburn, stomach heaviness, nausea, vomiting sensation, and difficulty in swallowing food. Arolip-D Tablet (pantoprazole 40 mg + domperidone 10 mg) helps reduce stomach acid and supports better movement of food in the stomach, which may help reduce nausea and stomach discomfort.
INDICATIONS
• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): GERD occurs when stomach acid flows back into the food pipe and may cause symptoms such as heartburn, stomach irritation, nausea, and difficulty in swallowing. Arolip-D Tablet (pantoprazole 40 mg + domperidone 10 mg) helps reduce stomach acid and supports stomach movement in this condition.

• Peptic Ulcer: Peptic ulcers are sores that develop in the lining of the stomach or the upper part of the small intestine due to excess acid. Symptoms may include stomach pain, burning sensation, and acid irritation. Arolip-D Tablet (pantoprazole 40 mg + domperidone 10 mg) helps reduce stomach acid associated with this condition.

MECHANISM OF ACTION
Pantoprazole: Pantoprazole belongs to a class of medicines called proton pump inhibitors. It works by blocking the proton pumps in the stomach lining that produce acid. By reducing acid production, Arolip-D Tablet (pantoprazole 40 mg + domperidone 10 mg) lowers the level of acid in the stomach.
Domperidone: Domperidone works by blocking dopamine receptors in the digestive system. This action helps improve the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the digestive tract. It is also associated with reducing nausea and vomiting sensation.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Drug-Drug Interaction: Medicines such as blood thinners (clopidogrel, warfarin), antifungal medicines (ketoconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole), anti-HIV medicines (atazanavir, nelfinavir), iron supplements, certain antibiotics (ampicillin, rifampicin), heart medicines (digoxin), and some anti-cancer medicines (methotrexate) may interact with Arolip-D Tablet (pantoprazole 40 mg + domperidone 10 mg).
Drug-Food Interaction: St. John’s Wort, a herbal product sometimes used for mood-related conditions, may affect the effectiveness of Arolip-D Tablet (pantoprazole 40 mg + domperidone 10 mg).
Drug-Disease Interaction: People with liver problems, bone-related problems, low vitamin B12 levels, low magnesium levels, or intestinal infections such as Clostridium difficile-associated colitis should use Arolip-D Tablet (pantoprazole 40 mg + domperidone 10 mg) with caution.
