DESCRIPTION
Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) is a medicine used to reduce excess acid in the stomach. Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) is commonly used in conditions where too much stomach acid irritates or damages the food pipe and stomach lining. Conditions such as acid reflux, inflammation of the food pipe, and stomach or intestinal ulcers are related to excess acid production. Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) helps reduce stomach acid and may help relieve symptoms such as heartburn, acid reflux, difficulty swallowing, and stomach discomfort.
INDICATIONS
• Erosive Esophagitis: This condition occurs when the food pipe becomes swollen or irritated due to stomach acid flowing back into it. Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) helps reduce the amount of stomach acid associated with this condition.

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): GERD happens when stomach acid flows back into the food pipe and may cause symptoms such as heartburn, chest discomfort, and difficulty swallowing. Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) helps reduce stomach acid related to this condition.

• Helicobacter pylori Infection: Helicobacter pylori is a type of bacteria that can infect the stomach and may be associated with ulcers. Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) is commonly used along with antibiotics as part of the treatment approach for this infection.

• Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: This condition involves tumors that cause the stomach to produce very high amounts of acid. Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) helps reduce excessive stomach acid associated with this disorder.

• Gastro-duodenal Ulcers: These are sores that develop in the lining of the stomach or the upper part of the small intestine due to excess acid. Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) helps lower stomach acid in such conditions.

MECHANISM OF ACTION
Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) belongs to a class of medicines called proton pump inhibitors. Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) works by blocking the proton pumps present in the stomach lining that are responsible for producing acid. By reducing the production of stomach acid, Arolip-40 Tablet (Pantoprazole 40 mg) helps decrease acid levels in the stomach and food pipe.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Medicines such as blood thinners (clopidogrel, warfarin), antifungal medicines (ketoconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole), anti-HIV medicines (atazanavir, nelfinavir), iron supplements, certain antibiotics (ampicillin, rifampicin), heart medicines (digoxin), and some anti-cancer medicines (methotrexate) may interact with Arolip Tablet (pantoprazole 40 mg).
