DESCRIPTION

Esodac-LS Capsule (Esomeprazole 40 mg (EC) + Levosulpiride 75 mg (SR) is a combination medicine used to treat stomach and digestive problems caused by excess acid and poor digestion. Esodac-LS Capsule (Esomeprazole 40 mg (EC) + Levosulpiride 75 mg (SR) helps reduce stomach acid and supports proper movement of the stomach, which improves the digestion process. Esodac-LS Capsule (Esomeprazole 40 mg (EC) + Levosulpiride 75 mg (SR) medicine helps relieve symptoms such as acidity, heartburn, bloating, nausea, and stomach discomfort, and is commonly used in conditions like Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, indigestion, and other acid-related stomach disorders.
 

INDICATION

1. GERD Treatment: Esodac-LS Capsule (Esomeprazole 40 mg (EC) + Levosulpiride 75 mg (SR) effectively treats acid reflux by stopping acid from flowing back into the esophagus.

2. Acid Reduction: Esodac-LS Capsule (Esomeprazole 40 mg (EC) + Levosulpiride 75 mg (SR) a proton pump inhibitor, reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach.

3. Prokinetic Action: Esodac-LS Capsule (Esomeprazole 40 mg (EC) + Levosulpiride 75 mg (SR) an atypical antipsychotic, boosts gastric motility (movement), aiding in faster food digestion and reducing bloating/nausea.

4. Peptic Ulcer Management: Esodac-LS Capsule (Esomeprazole 40 mg (EC) + Levosulpiride 75 mg (SR) helps in treating and preventing ulcers.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Esomeprazole 40 mg: It works by blocking the proton pump in the stomach that produces acid. By reducing the amount of acid released in the stomach, it helps decrease irritation and increases the stomach’s pH level. This helps protect the stomach lining, supports healing of acid-related damage, and relieves symptoms such as acidity, heartburn, and stomach discomfort.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Esomeprazole 40 Mg (Ec) + Levosulpride 75 Mg Sr  may interact with painkillers (aspirin, naproxen), anti-HIV (atazanavir), blood thinner (clopidogrel, warfarin, cilostazol), anti-fungal (ketoconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole), anti-cancer (erlotinib, methotrexate), anti-depressant (citalopram, imipramine, clomipramine, duloxetine), anti-anxiety (diazepam), anti-convulsant (phenytoin), gastroprokinetic agent (cisapride), a drug used to treat heart problems (digoxin), immunosuppressant (tacrolimus), anti-tuberculosis (rifampicin).
