MECHANISM OF ACTION

Arlac Injection (Diclofenac Sodidum 75 mg) works by stopping two important chemicals called cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). These chemicals help make substances called prostaglandins, which play a role in pain, swelling, and fever. COX-1 helps protect the stomach lining and supports blood clotting, while COX-2 is mainly involved in causing inflammation, pain, and fever. By blocking these chemicals, diclofenac reduces the production of inflammatory prostaglandins, which helps lower swelling, pain, and fever. It also helps control body temperature by affecting the part of the brain that regulates it, making it useful for treating conditions that involve pain, inflammation, and fever.
