DISCRIPTIONS

Etocia-TH Tablet contains two medicines: Etoricoxib 60 mg and Thiocolchicoside 4 mg. Etocia-TH Tablet (Etoricoxib 60 mg and Thiocolchicoside 4 mg) used to relieve pain and swelling that comes with muscle spasms, like low back pain, neck pain, sprains, and strains. Etocia-TH Tablet (Etoricoxib 60 mg and Thiocolchicoside 4 mg)  is a type of painkiller that works by blocking a certain chemical in the body called prostaglandins, which cause pain and swelling. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant that helps relax muscles by affecting certain areas in the brain and spinal cord, which stops the muscles from tightening too much. Together, these two medicines help reduce pain and make it easier to move for people with muscle and joint problems. 
 

INDICATION

Osteoarthritis :  Osteoarthritis is a type of joint disease that wears down the cartilage, leading to pain, stiffness, and swelling. Etocia-TH Tablet, which contains Etoricoxib 60 mg and Thiocolchicoside 4 mg, helps reduce pain and inflammation in the joints that are affected. 

Rheumatoid arthritis : Rheumatoid arthritis  is a condition where the body's own immune system mistakenly attacks the joints, leading to swelling, pain, and inflammation. Etocia-TH Tablet, which contains Etoricoxib 60 mg and Thiocolchicoside 4 mg, can help reduce inflammation and relieve joint pain

Acute pain (e.g., after surgery or injury): This is pain that happens suddenly and is usually strong, often because of an injury or operation. Etocia-TH Tablet (Etoricoxib 60 mg + Thiocolchicoside 4 mg) helps by reducing the pain and also easing muscle spasms that happen with these kinds of injuries. 
 

Gout :  Gout is a type of arthritis that happens when there's a build-up of uric acid crystals in the joints, causing painful attacks, usually in the big toe. Etocia-TH Tablet (Etoricoxib 60 + Thiocolchicoside 4 mg) helps reduce inflammation and ease the associated pain.

Inflammation and Pain : Etocia-TH Tablet, which contains Etoricoxib 60 mg and Thiocolchicoside 4 mg, helps reduce inflammation and relieve the pain that comes with it. 

Chronic musculoskeletal pain: Ongoing pain in muscles, bones, and joints caused by issues like arthritis or past injuries. Etocia-TH Tablet (Etoricoxib 60 mg + Thiocolchicoside 4 mg) helps by reducing both the pain and the muscle stiffness.

Back pain with muscle spasms: Pain in the back that often comes with muscle spasms or tightness. Etocia-TH Tablet (Etoricoxib 60 mg + Thiocolchicoside 4 mg) helps reduce both the pain caused by inflammation and the muscle spasms.

Musculoskeletal issues : that cause swelling and tight muscles, such as sprains, strains, or injuries from repeated movement, can be treated with Etocia-TH Tablet. This medicine contains Etoricoxib 60 mg and Thiocolchicoside 4 mg. It helps reduce inflammation and relax muscles, which can ease pain and make movement easier.
 

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Etoricoxib (60 mg) works by blocking the COX-2 enzyme, which helps make substances in the body that cause pain and swelling. Because it targets COX-2 instead of other enzymes, it reduces pain and inflammation more safely, with less chance of hurting the stomach compared to other pain medicines that affect more enzymes.
 

Thiocolchicoside (4 mg) works as a muscle relaxer by affecting the central nervous system. It helps by changing how certain chemicals in the brain and nerves work, which eases muscle spasms and tightness. This makes the muscles less tense and helps with movement. 
 

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Drug-Drug Interaction:  Etocia-TH Tablet, which contains etoricoxib 60 mg and thiocolchicoside 4 mg, can interact with several other medicines. These include pain relievers like aspirin, medicines for breathing problems like salbutamol, antidepressants like lithium, heart medicines like digoxin, blood pressure medications such as enalapril, ramipril, losartan, valsartan, and minoxidil, antibiotics like rifampicin, blood thinners like warfarin, medicines that suppress the immune system such as cyclosporine and tacrolimus, and drugs used for arthritis like methotrexate.

Drug-Food Interactions : When you are taking this medication, you should avoid drinking alcohol because it can make you feel more dizzy and increase the chance of stomach bleeding.

Drug-Disease Interactions : Tell your doctor if you have stomach ulcers, blood issues, stomach problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, trouble digesting galactose, Lapp lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption, heart problems, kidney problems, or liver issues.

PRECAUTION

Etocia-TH Tablet  : If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Etocia-TH Tablet (Etoricoxib 60 mg + Thiocolchicoside 4 mg), you should not take this medicine. Be careful if you have problems with your heart, stomach, liver, or kidneys, and check these regularly. This medicine is not safe to use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
